Joe Eastman Visit- Policy 101
This past Tuesday we hosted our final event of the semester, a presentation of Policy 101 with special guest from New York, Northeast Regional Coordinator Joe Eastman. With finals approaching, the campus has mostly disappeared to study and write papers, but both Roosevelt regulars and new faces came together to learn the basics of policy writing. Of those in attendance, there was at least one representative from every student organization that had been invited, including Model United Nations, the Environmental Action Coalition, College Democrats, College Republicans, as well as Roosevelt at Amherst College.
With members in the audience currently working on briefs for the 10 Big Ideas journals, ideas were given a platform to be heard and processes improved upon.
The Mount Holyoke Chapter has a lot of great ideas and seeing the process of developing them through Roosevelt's first semester on campus has been incredibly exciting for everyone involved. Expect big things from us, coming your way soon!
For those of you who were not able to attend, please e-mail me at wazla20e@mtholyoke.edu for materials from the training.
Best of luck with finals!
