A CONVERSATION WITH BO CUTTER

Welcome to our Conversation with Bo Cutter,
Before becoming a fellow at the Roosevelt Institute, Mr. Cutter’s long list of distinguished accomplishments includes, but is not limited to: managing director of Warburg Pincus since 1996, vice chairman and managing partner at Coopers & Lybrand from 1981-1993, he served as the executive director for the budget in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the Carter Administration, and held a senior economic policy role in the Clinton Administrator as director of the National Economic Council and as deputy assistant to the president. More recently, Mr. Cutter was the leader of President Obama’s OMB transition team, he holds degrees from Harvard University, the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
We are pleased to offer a small number of our best policy writers this opportunity to spend a day sharing ideas and insights with Mr. Cutter here in Washington, D.C. 3) Describe the thought-provoking question or policy proposal that you would like to present to Bo Cutter during this retreat.
This is a great opportunity to get feedback, advice, and insight from Mr. Cutter, as well as a great opportunity to showcase your thoughts and voice the potential that our generation sees in the future. You are expected to come prepared to contribute in substantial ways to the dialogue at this gathering.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
Our assessment of candidates will rest primarily on the level of participation and contributions the student brings to the table. Therefore your questions and your own policy work will factor heavily into our final decision.
