Impact Project: Climate Security

 Build-Your-OWN CLimate Security Project

During the 2010-2011 academic year, the Energy & Environment Center will be partnering with Intellectual Decisions on Environmental Awareness Solutions, or IDEAS, to promote campus climate security initiatives. The failure of Congress to pass climate change legislation has left the US in a vulnerable position as the world gears towards a green, carbon-neutral economy.
 
The Millennial voice has been shut out of the decision-making process and the progressive student activist and advocacy community has been effectively silenced. But there are ways to make a difference: pressure university administrations, local communities, and state governments to adopt sustainability plans, and pursue environmentally conscious investments. 
 
IDEAS is providing an online toolkit that will allow Roosevelt students to promote campus mobilization and engagement. Roosevelt students can use the action project as a tool for campus recruitment, engagement, and chapter development.
