I was a four year member of The University of Georgia Roosevelt Chapter, serving on the Executive Board for 3 years. I served as Center Director for Domestic Issues, Policy Director (overseeing all policy creation and presentation for the chapter), and as a Teaching Assistant for the Roosevelt Scholars seminar (a 3 hour comprehensive policy creation course) where I was responsible (with my fellow TA Kelsey Jones) for planning the curriculum, creation of assignments, grading and advancement for a 13 person class

During my time at Roosevelt I researched the economic effects of marijuana decriminalization, federal subsidy reform, and the effect on local infrastructure of capital grants. I published my paper, Reforming Subsidies in the Federal Budget in the 2008 Roosevelt Review. I also published an oped in the newspaper, Red and Black
