I'm a second year student at UCLA, and I plan to major in Political Science with a minor in Public Affairs. While I love Los Angeles, I hella miss the bay area. I'm currently the Co-President of UCLA's Amnesty International chapter, and I've been involved with Amnesty International in varying capacities for the past six years. Ever since I came across this incredible organization, I've been interested in shaping international policies including: the effectiveness of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the transparency and effectiveness of the United Nations, protecting universal human rights, fostering child development, building education systems, and promoting justice through various reforms. In addition, my policy interests include community development through government or privately sponsored grants to social entrepreneurs (both youth and older citizens), restructuring the funding system for K-12 education to promote equality throughout districts, and creating an accountability system for companies and individuals that hire unpaid internships. I'm on the executive board for UCLA's Roosevelt Institute chapter as an advisor and I am serving as the Western Regional Coordinator, alongside Ilana Fischer. Ideally, I would like to attend law school immediately after I graduate from UCLA. I love billiards, scrapbooking (especially competitive scrapbooking, as silly as it sounds), traveling, spontaneity, meeting new people, and trying new things. My long term goals include skydiving and publishing a novel made up of interconnected vignettes.
